Let’s face it — without music, movies are just… quiet
Filmscore is the craft of storytelling, without music a movie seems empty. Imagine “Jaws” without John Williams two iconic notes the moment we plunge into the sea on holidays and the high screeching strings when we take a shower thanks to Bernard Hermann’s “Psycho”.
In this One-to-One Film Score Course the student will learn all the essentials: film scoring basics, music theory in action, how to actually score to picture, plus the tech skills to mix, master, and make your own showreel. And finally create a showreel to present to industry creatives such as Directors and Producers. This course is perfect for Transition Year students and up. It is designed to give full exposure of the process and tools to pitch your work to real directors and producers.
The Film Score is one the most important crafts within the movie production. It takes the viewer into a cinematic experience matched by none. The success of a film score has progressed from the celluloid of the film negative to the concert hall where audiences are treated to their favourite musical movie moments, to full orchestras recreating scores live to picture. There are a world of possibilities because lets face it, without music, movies are just quite.
